I think I'm done. I'm getting sick of watching the same thing every week. Even characters who should be fresh, like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk feel stale when they are forced to use the same material and work in programs with John Cena.
Now, I'm not a Cena hater. He serves his purpose. I like structure. But when the rest of the show is cookie cutter and uneventful it just reflects poorly on its biggest star.
The fresh characters we did see tonight had such little screen time. AW and his Playas walked out. Tyson Kidd won by roll up a minute in.
There is way too much "star power" on Raw every week and they eat up too much screen time. Sheamus is the World Champ and is made to look second rate on Mondays. How can I take him seriously when the main event is about the WWE title and he is having mixed tag matches against a 50 year old woman.
Speaking of which, Dolph Ziggler needs direction. That direction is wherever Vickie Guerrero isn't. He's got the look, the presence, the skills. He just needs to stand on his own.
Big Show being on my TV upsets me. He is so bad at trying to be what Mark Henry was surprisingly good at. He may have his place, but I don't see it.
What this company needs is to have a real brand split like they used to. Not the recent "split," the original split. 2 distinct and separate rosters. 1 WWE Champ. That champion can compete on both brands. As can the Tag Team Champs and the Womens Champ. The rest of the wrestlers have to stay on their brand. This should force them to create real stars.
There are enough big names and legit main eventers for now. As new guys get ready, don't hold them back. Phase out the older guys. Kane and the Big Show should be the first to go. I love Jericho, but let him go be a rock star and just replace him. The pieces are there, but are so underutilized its silly.
That's just my opinion though. And who the fuck am I?
