Re-Donkulous

It has been like 2 fuckin weeks since I have had any motivation to write anything about the Jays.

So, I guess I'll talk about the WBC first.

Fucking Netherlands!!!! Way to go you wooden shoe wearing goat fuckers. My support is fully behind the Dutch Rudders. The Australians will battle the Mexicans tonight to see who advances in their pool, and I am hoping the Ausies pull it off.

Canada was disapointing, but I won't pretend I'm surprised. I thought they were the 3rd best team, and I still think they were, despite the loss to the Italians. The Italians had a shitty pitching staff, but so did Canada. Your country really could've used you Dempster, you cock-sucker.

I was there on Saturday, and had chills during the Morneau MVP chants. The Bay chants were lame as fuck. I sat next to some dumb drunk fucks who knew shit about the players on Team Canada. Embarassing. The Italy-Venesuela games was solid, and those bean eaters sure know how to root for their team. Nice work. The Italian RF made a fantastic catch early, and Catalanotto showed his hitting prowess.

Some Blue Jay Stuff

The Spring Training stuff is boring as fuck, and the stations are doing a shit job of covering the Jays, especially Sportsnet. They barely mention the team, and when they do, they don't even show a realbox-score.

Some of the early stats show that Jason Lane is awesome, and Travis snider will not only win Rookie Of The Year, but MVP as well. In ridiculously small sample sizes, Scott Rolen will be nails and Russ Adams will win Comeback Player Of The Year.

I am hoping somehow that the Jays can keep Adams on the roster. I have always liked him as a hitter, and now that he can play the outfield poorly as well, he has increased versitility for sucking bag.

Jason Lane should be allowed to make the team if he keeps hitting well. I would prefer him over Millar and Bautista.

McDonald should be released is Inglett can even play a slightly below average SS. I really don't want to watch Mac hit .200 again. It would be fine if he had an OBP around .330, but no pitcher is afraid of cruising a big fat one to the team captain of the Belgiam girld softball team.

Oh, and if Michael Barrett actually makes the team, I am changing the name of my blog. Fuck Michael Barrett.

What is that smell? I think it is another craptastic roster prediction, hope style.

C Rod Barajas (ugh)
1B Lyle Overbay (ugh)
2B Aaron Hill
3B Scott Rolen (ugh)
SS Marco Scutaro (ugh)
LF Travis Snider
CF Alex Rios
RF Vernon Wells
DH Adam Lind
Bench
OF/1B Jason Lane
IF Joe Inglett
C Raul Chavez (at least he can play good D)
IF/OF Jose Bautista

What a pathetic hitting infield, The OF should be solid if Wells can stay healthy. Rios better be good this season or I will kill his family. In no way is that a serious threat, I swear.

Roy Halladay is awesome.

The rotation should be as follows.

Halladay, Litsch, Purcey, Mills, and Cecil should be the rotation by the end of April. Clement can start in the bigs, John Thomson style. This would push either Cecil's or Mills' free agency clock. Bullington could also be used the same way.

The bullpen should be Ryan, Downs, Carlson, League, Accardo, Janssen, Wolfe. Camp should be released and Tallet and Frasor should be traded for salary relief and fringe prospects, maybe even a better back-up SS.

Dirk Hayhurst has been impressive and could push the Jays to trade Accardo if he keeps it up. I wouldn't mind seeing Downs traded, as there is no reason to pay a reliever $3M on a non-championship caliber team.

This could be a frustrating season.

I hope I survive it.
