Man, does the Jays bull pen suck dick lately or what? It seems as though they have been since Ryan hit the DL, but I know they have sucked since he got back.
Shawn Camp has given up 10 ER in his last 9.1 IP, raising his ERA from 0.00 to 5.40, while getting 2 losses along the way.
Jesse Carlson has given up 8 ER in his last 6 IP, raising his ERA from 2.70 to 4.85, lossing a game and bowing a save.
Scotty Downs has given up 5 ER in his last 5.2 IP, raising his ERA from 0.59 to 2.57, which is still really good and all, but c'mon. It's Snakeface I'm talking about. That is brutal for Downs.
Jason Frasor has only had 1 bad outing the entire season. I think I'm fine there.
Brandon League has been his erratic self. I can't complain about him.
BJ Ryan has been shit all season, leaving absolutely zero doubt he sucks.
Brian Wolfe was actually good up until his last outing. I'll give him a break.
Who could help this team?
Wade Miller, with a 3.81 ERA as a starter in AAA? He had fantastic stuff a few years ago, and that could translate really well to the pen.
Jonah Bayliss? He has a 2.57 ERA in 28 AAA IP. He could help I'm sure.
Jeremy Accardo? A 2.84 ERA in 19 IP in AAA. We know how good he can be.
I want to see how Zach Dials, Dan Farquhar, Edgar Estanga & Ed Buzachero do in AAA before I think about them.
I just want some change. Something different. God, I'm starting to hate BJ Ryan.
