Offensive Standouts:
Brian Dopirak is the big offensive force so far this season. He is hitting .292/.360/.554/.914 with 13 HR and 44 RsBI. Clearly, he is ready for AAA, and I think Randy Ruiz should be released to make room.
Adam Calderone is another offensive leader. He is hitting .271/.325/.495/.820 with 8 HR and 33 RsBI.
The prospects:
Brad Emaus forced himself onto the rader with a great spring. Yes, that's right. Brad Emaus raped the spring. OK...Emaus is having a decent season, hitting .254/.317/.417/.734 with 6 HR, 17 doubles, and 35 RsBI.
David Cooper has had a pretty unimpressive season. He is hitting .239/.319/.347/.666 with 18 extra base hits. His power has not developed yet, so hopefully he can find his stroke before 2011 (when Overbay leaves and Cooper steps in).
Pitching Stand-outs:
Ray Gonzalez has been stellar, with a 3.04 ERA in 73.1 IP and a 1.15 WHIP. He has only given up 66 hits. He doesn't strike out many (49), but keeps his walks down (18).
Marc Rzepczynski has also been very good, with a 3.10 ERA in 69.2 IP with a 1.58 WHIP. He gives up a bunch of hits (75) and walks wuite a few (35), but has a load of strikeouts (80).
Quality bullpen arms have been Ed Buzachero (1.04 ERA), Edgar Estanga (2.63 ERA), and Adrian Martin (2.33 ERA).
